About Me

My name is Hannah Howsham.

I am 18 years of age and I have lived all those 18 years down the road from Bolton, in the town of Bury.

After completing my A-levels at Holy Cross College in Bury I wanted to continue my studies locally at the University of Bolton, with the ambition of having a career in teaching.

I chose to do my Psychology degree here at Bolton, because when I first started learning Psychology at college I had the most inspirational and interesting teacher who helped stir up my passion for Psychology.

My teacher had completed his degree in Psychology at Bolton and held the university in high esteem and so I decided to follow in his footsteps. And Bolton really has been the right place for me with it being close to where I live, it has great teaching and fantastic resources.

Instantly I felt right at home.

During my time here at Bolton I want to achieve a first class degree and gain experience which will help me in my teaching career, but also gain insight into people and their various behaviours. I want to indulge in my own interests within the subject and vastly expand my knowledge of Psychology.

Outside of university I like to keep busy by looking after my two year old brother, doing a lot of volunteer work with my church and working to save up the pennies for my wedding next March and doing up my new flat. In my spare time I love (attempting) to cook and having meals with my family and friends.

I want to get involved in every opportunity I can in university life and make the most of my time here, because I know it will soon fly by.
